Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are intended to improve mild to moderately severe skin imperfections on the face, neck, chest, back and arms. Imperfections can include: sun damage, melasma, acne, acne scarring, and fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, these treatments help improve the overall look and feel of the skin by minimizing the appearance of pores and removing dead skin cells. In general, most chemical peels cause little, if any, discomfort and patients can expect to experience mild to moderate peeling for 2 to 7 days after treatment, depending on the strength and intensity of the treatment. Do not schedule a chemical peel if you are, or plan on becoming, pregnant, are nursing, or plan on being exposed to sunlight, as skin will be hypersensitive to UV rays post treatment. Post-procedure side effects and results may vary from person to person.
SkinMedica Illuminize Peel
This non-invasive, very superficial peel offers the benefits of a chemical peel with little to no visible peeling or downtime, and minimal discomfort. The Illuminize peel is intended to improve the appearance of mild skin imperfections, as well as enhance the overall brightness and texture of the skin. This peel is ideal for anyone who has never had a chemical peel, or just wants a refreshing glow. Safe for all skin types.
SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel
The strongest of the SkinMedica peels, it is intended to treat moderate to moderately severe skin imperfections. This peel is most popular among individuals who have experience with advanced anti-aging regimens, and those who have prior experience with peels. Patients can expect to have downtime with this treatment, with peeling beginning approximately 2 days post treatment. Safe for all skin types.
SkinMedica Vitalize Peel
The most popular of the SkinMedica peels due to its' predictability and effectiveness. This treatment is appropriate for mild to moderate skin imperfections, and is especially popular for the treatment of acne, sun damage and freckling. Slight to moderate peeling begins approximately 2 days post treatment. Safe for all skin types.
VI Peel
The strongest chemical peel offered at Ada, this treatment significantly improves skin imperfections quickly. Working in the deeper layers of skin allows this peel to be effective without producing extensive irritation, making it a popular treatment despite longer downtime. Boosters can be added to treat more specific conditions, such as melasma and acne. Patients should expect to have signs of peeling for up to 10 days post treatment.
Glytone Mandelic Peel
A unique combination of acids used to reduce occasional/permanent skin redness, minimize mild signs of aging and hyper-pigmentation. This peel is easily tolerated by patients experiencing redness and sensitivity. Best results are seen when used in conjunction with redness reducing products.

Permanent Makeup
Micropigmentation, or permanent make-up (PMU), is the revolutionary method of depositing hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, and is one of the fastest growing specialties in the beauty industry. With an ultra-thin needle and pigment, the shape of the eyebrows, eyes or lips is enhanced. It is sometimes wrongly confused with cosmetic tattoos (e.g. eyebrow tattoos or eyeliner tattoos). The difference between the two is that with PMU the pigments used for permanent make-up are introduced less deeply into the skin layer and have a different composition from tattoo inks. Micropigmentation devices are also more refined than tattoo machines, and the techniques that are used differ greatly from the commercial tattoo industry.
Permanent makeup allows you to subtly give features shape and definition to enhance natural beauty in both men and women. Besides boosting your self-confidence, micropigmentation can also lead to a more active lifestyle, personal freedom and can save quite a bit of time on your at home make-up application. In addition, micropigmentation procedures have a stunning smudge-free effect that will last for several years. PMU is also very suitable for people with allergies to regular makeup, contact lens wearers with sensitive eyes, people with glasses or people who are active in sports. The possibilities are endless!
